The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), probing the alleged involvement of Dhanuna Tillekeratne, son-in-law of defeated Opposition presidential candidate Gen. (retd) Sarath Fonseka, in the supply of arms, ammunition and equipment on fraudulent documents, yesterday (03) arrested former National Cricket Captain Hashan Tillekeratne for providing Danuna with accommodation.

Danuna and Hashan are first cousins.

The CID also detained an aunt of Hashan Tillekeratne in this connection.

Danuna is absconding.

Sources said that Hashan had admitted that Danuna stayed with him but left after the CID obtained a Court order to arrest him. The CID said that Dhanuna had stayed with Hashan for at least four days and later with Hashan’s aunt.

Sources said that Danuna had visited night clubs wearing wigs. Hashan is contesting the upcoming parliamentary polls on the DNA ticket.
