The TID today told court that investigations had revealed that a police sub inspector who was arrested on suspicion of being an LTTE intelligence wing member had given information regarding the Colombo Harbourand Police Headquarters to the LTTE.

The Terrorist Investigations Division made this statement when the case regarding the suspect was taken at the Colombo Magistrate. The additional Magistrate also gave permission to the TID to take a signature sample from the suspect to cross reference it with an document said to have been signed by him to apply to join the LTTE recovered from the Puddukudiyrippu area.
