According to Ada Derana sources the Tamil National Alliance is facing a dissecting future on the issue of whom to support at the upcoming Presidential Elections. Sources claimed that there are three dominant takes on the decision.

Wanni District Parliamentarian Shivanathan Kishore and two others are pledging their support for President Mahinda Rajapaksa while R. Sampanthan and Mano Ganesan are holding talk to support General Fonseka, sources added. Meanwhile M.K. Sivagilingam claims that if no Tamil candidate is being fielded he will himself become the candidate.
 
Sources further told Ada Derana that due to this confusion within the TNA the Batticaloa District TNA MP are clueless as to whom to support.
